Welcome to The Wilk! Your own private haven.

The Wilky Way is an expansive property spanning 15 acres of gorgeous countryside in the heart of Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. The Wilk is a turn of the century farmhouse originally inhabited by The Wilkinson family in the 1850's and is the first of many accommodations we plan on offering at the property. This 2100 sq foot home features three queen bedrooms sleeping six people, along with a full kitchen, living room, dining room and great room with soaring 30 foot cathedral ceilings. The property offers unparalleled privacy, deeded water access to the Bay of Quinte and adventure at every corner!

The space

Designed and managed by the same team as The Amado in Palm Springs and The Ferg in Picton, Ontario this classic 1850’s farmhouse has been carefully renovated to respect its stunning original architecture while integrating a highly curated 1970's sexy vibe! The furnishings and art are high quality vintage pieces curated from a number of incredible shops located throughout Southern Ontario. Large bay windows allow gorgeous light to flow throughout the house. The property offers ample peace and quiet (except for the birdsong!) and there are endless water and forest adventures waiting for you!

Guest access

Our guests have private access to the entire property - an incredible forested 15 acres and just a few minutes stroll down a country road to our deeded water access on The Bay of Quinte where you can launch a boat or simply enjoy the view. The Wilk is home to a myriad of tranquil walking trails and is dotted with wild sumac, lilac, juniper, pine and spruce trees. There are also two historic barns on the property. It’s Ontario at its finest!

Interaction with guests

We are always available to our guest 24/7! It's important for you to know we are here for you and we have a team of people to ensure your stay is the best it can be.

Other things to note

Our vision for The Wilk was to create a place where friends and family could come together to unwind, reconnect and explore the outdoors. We are intent on providing an experience that is lighthearted and fun via a highly curated design process with carefully selected vintage furniture, a collection of dog-centric art, a record player, guitar for impromptu jam sessions, piles of board games, outdoor lawn games and a Polaroid camera and photo wall for guests to share their diverse experiences with each other! We just want you to relax and have fun :) Please note we offer wifi which is a satellite connection but as we are in the countryside sometimes it runs a little slow. Also we don't offer a tv or microwave as we want to provide a backdrop for healthy, quality time with your friends and family.

If you are reading this review, book The Wilk immediately! It is possibly the most magical space in all of Prince Edward County. True to the pictures, the home is expertly decorated with vintage finesse and has such a special, warm feeling to it. Everything you could ever need for your stay is provided by the hosts, including (but not limited to!) a pound of fresh coffee beans which we enjoyed over looking the expansive property every morning. Every night we would listen to the records, play mahjong and drink our local wine - bliss. Would highly recommend bringing/renting road bikes and getting up early to ride around the Waupoos peninsula to get a good feel of the area. County Cider is just around the corner from the property and provides an awesome view and spot for an early dinner. The home is located about 15 mins away from Picton and the main shops and about 30 mins from Wellington so you are close enough to all the amenities, wineries and sites but far enough away to feel like you have the County all to yourself. We travelled with a one year old and the home was surprisingly baby friendly too. Can’t say enough wonderful things about The Wilk and planning our next family visit already.

Our weekend stay at The Wilk was incredible! From the moment we arrived to when we checked out, everything was perfect. While preparing for the trip the hosts were very responsive and thoroughly answered our questions about what to bring versus what would be provided. Upon arrival the house was exceptionally clean and fully stocked - plenty of clean bed linens, towels, housing supplies and kitchen utensils. Nothing was missed! We cannot wait to stay again and would 1000% recommend it to anyone.
